Business Description

Elementary Robotics Club
Students in grades 4-6 meet weekly to investigate, design, test, and program robotic models to accomplish a variety of tasks. Through our Elementary Robotics Club, PCA students develop an understanding of real-world uses for science, technology, engineering, and math.

Middle School Robotics Team
Every week beginning in November, a team of middle school robotics enthusiasts meet to accomplish robotics missions using fully autonomous robots. The competitive season for Middle School Robotics begins in March and can last through May. The PCA Middle School Robotics Team competes in the Game Competition at Robofest.

High School Robotics Team
During a six-week period beginning in January, the PCA Robotics High School Team gears up. Students learn to build a robot from a common kit of parts, which typically weighs up to 150 lbs. PCA parents and alumni guide and mentor students through the robot construction process. The PCA Robotics Team, The Atoms Family,Team 4405, participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) program with more than 68,000 high school competitors. Regional competitions begin in early March with National Championships in April. Participation in Robotics is a great avenue to open opportunities for a college scholarship.
