“Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded”
-Jess Lair
Mrs. Marian Boehl is a graduate of the nationally recognized piano pedagogy program at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. She is also a member of the National Music Teachers Association, The Michigan Music Teachers Association, and the Ann Arbor Piano Teachers Guild.
Mrs. Boehl has been teaching piano since 1996. Forty-five minute or hour weekly lessons are offered according to the needs of each individual student. All students can expect to study technique, theory and a variety of musical styles. A challenging and rewarding repertoire will be developed.
If the pandemic permits, pre-college students may perform in three recitals per year. Group Studio Classes prior to each recital prepare students for their performance.
A pre-college testing program is offered to students annually through the Michigan Music Teachers Association. Students perform for a judge and are tested in technique, theory, sight-reading, transposition and aural skills. Successful participation is rewarded with annual certificates and bi-annual trophies!
